Why did you become an evangelist? : Im a graduate of Cebu Bible Seminary. my parents were both evangelist unfortunately my dad Isaiah died last 2002 and my mother is now paralyzed. I followed their footsteps since it is my passion to serve our Heavenly Father because I grew up seeing my parents evangelize and teach people about Christ. And now, I have continued the ministry left by my parents in Calituban Island in Bohol and have started another island ministry at Talima Island Cebu who will be celebrating their 1st year anniversary this May 2019 with God's continuous grace and guidance. My husband is a pastor who also serves the Lord in Tuyan Church in the morning and in Metropolitan Church in Cebu City every afternoon. Both of us are very happy to serve our Lord God Almighty.
What is your favorite part of being an evangelist? Soul winning, sharing the word and preach the Gospel of God.
One story about your ministry (can be funny, miracle, inspiring, etc): After my dad died last 2002, I went to Calituban to visit the church and church members, only then to find out that there were only 3 families left who continued to serve. Since then, I decided to continue the ministry left by my parents and revived the church and gathered the church members. I visited each of them and convinced them to go back to church. With God's blessings and continuous guidance, we have now about 33 families in the church excluding the children ministry.
5 years ago, Daddy Reggie heard about the Calituban Church again when he thought that it has already gone. He inquired with Sir Larry Carlson about it and when he knew that Calituban Church still exist, He sent money for the Church building to help revive the Church. Then as of today, we have an outreach church on the other island which is the Talima Church here in Cebu. It is about 3-5 hours travel by pumpboat from Calituban ISland to Talima Island. Right now we are doing a house church since we dont have Church building yet but we are praying and looking forward to build our Church one day.
Tell one thing about your country (one thing you love, wish would change, etc): Our country has so much to offer, the people are so nice and the place are very beautiful. A lot of people are excited to hear and see you and be inspired by you, also there are inspiring stories from the people that even with the little things they have they continue to give and have faith in God . Come and visit us here probably you will enjoy.
Please help us pray with our Island Ministry that we will be able to continue reaching out to people and preach His Gospel and that we will be able to achieve our goals and plans as a Church and family.
With Christian Love,
Rey, Cheery and Honey
