A.R. & Florence Thomas
Missionary Trust

Picture
A.R. (Reggie) Thomas and his wife, Florence lived together as husband and wife for 56 happy years. They served Christ and His church faithfully their entire lives. They brought 3 missionaries into this world: Reggie Thomas, Barbara Barger, and Edwin Thomas.
Reggie Thomas, their oldest son, wanted to do something as a living memorial to his parents. Thus the A.R. & Florence Thomas Perpetual  Missionary Soul Winning Trust came into existence.

What is the purpose of the trust?

A. Church buildings are needed in many parts of the world. White Fields Overseas Evangelism has established new churches in 49 different nations.

Many of these churches do not have a building. We propose to loan funds to congregations at a low interest so they can build. Most foreigners in places like Africa, the Caribbean, Haiti, India, the Philippines. etc. can never borrow funds from banks. But if we could loan funds at a low rate of interest and with reasonable monthly payments it would be possible for them to build.

B. Many times a missionary needs to travel to the field to preach or teach, but is stopped by the lack of travel funds. We propose to loan the needed travel funds at a low rate of interest. In this way no soul winning effort would be lost for a lack of travel funds.

How will the paid interest be used? The earned interest will be returned to the trust and then the trust will be constantly growing. Thus, more churches can be built and more preachers sent to win more souls to Christ.

How will the Trust be administrated? This trust will operate as a separate department of White Fields Overseas Evangelism. The Trust will be under the oversight of 3 trustees, who will govern the daily operation of the Trust.
All loans must be approved by the trustees and all monthly repayments will be kept in an interest bearing savings account.

Memorial Gifts The trust began with memorial gifts that came at the time of Florence Thomas' passing. If you would like to help this trust grow, you may give any amount at anytime with full assurance that your gifts will be used to send the Gospel of Christ to foreign lands so that precious souls can be won to Christ.
